Flow

FLOW is a San Francisco premiere: a vast, immersive installation first seen at ARS Electronica in Linz, Austria. Site-specific, synchronized with the moon, with sea levels, and with tides, this multimedia piece offers a sensory experience - and an intelligent data environment - that generates the experience of vast forces in an interior space.

Taking up the entire 160-foot length of the Midway Gallery, this hugely ambitious deployment of projection equipment is enabled by our partners World Stage and Epson.

About artist Maotik: Based in Montreal, Mathieu Le Sourd (Maotik) focuses his work on the creation of immersive multimedia environments and generative visuals. Le Sourd has been lead of Moment Factory’s interactive team, which has included the multimedia experience in the new terminal at the Los Angeles airport, as well as the visuals for Nine Inch Nails world tour. His work has been presented at Mutek Festival (Montreal, Mexico city, Barcelona and Tokyo), Live Cinema in Rio, the Plums Festival in Moscow, Signal Festival in Prague, the British Film Institute in London, and ARS Electronica in Linz.
