Phil Spitler and Victoria Mara Heilweil are a collaborative team based in the Bay Area. They create illuminated, public artworks.  Their exhibitions include the California Academy of Sciences and the 2012 ZERO1 Biennial. Phil Spitler is a Creative Technologist at Bonfire Labs, a boutique design firm in San Francisco. He creates his work using a mixture of software tools, digital fabrication techniques and electronics. Victoria Mara Heilweil is an artist, curator and educator.  She has exhibited nationally at many venues including the de Young Museum and San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art. Victoria has also been an independent curator for the past ten years. Her recent exhibition, Technological Mediations, explored the intersection of art and technology in order to discuss our mediated lives in the digital age.
